Why does the archaeologic community say that the Greek alphabet is Phoenician?

For a Greek nationalist you sure show lack of faith in the Greek Oral Tradition. Maybe you'd trust the Indians more? Some vedas are supposed to be going on in oral tradition for thousands of years. I don't know how believable those extremes are, but 200-300 years seems a perfectly reasonable time for Very Important Narratives to be passed on.

I don't doubt the oral tradition, I doubt the fact that people can remember THE SAME THING when its depth is as much as the two Homeric epics.


Btw, in the Iliad it is suggested that Odysseus sent a letter (not a voicemail) which used the...dative case. Something's not right :(
