Victoria (Empire Under The Sun) Error

I've been having this problem on Victoria ever since I got back to this game.
So, I prefer action so I always choose the Great War 1914 Scenario, but when it loads up, it immediately halts at "reading scenario" and then says this -

CRITICAL ERROR
--- (type = 6 / id = 15000) does already exist) --- (I click ignore)
--- (type = 6 / id = 15001) does already exist) --- (I click ignore)
--- (type = 6 / id = 15001) does already exist) --- (I click ignore)
- Game starts after the third click, but whenever I click a province of my Country, the game crashes. This happened when I was playing Albania.
- The same error occurs when I play other countries, but after the game starts and I click a province the game doesn't crash. I only found this out while playing England and France, not any other country.

So any ideas on how to locate this problem?



P.s I do have Victoria VIP 0.2, 0.2Hotfix

My guess that the same event ids are loading twice. Check the events.txt and vip events to see if that is correct...

@Dreamcatcher : I would highly recommend Victoria Complete from here(download if you can get it, not steam key) or gog.com. The timeline extension patch works just fine with the gog.com version...I have not seen one for the steam version.

I just got it fixed today, thanks for the tip anyways, I'll be removing the post

What was the solution? That way if someone has the same problem we have a solution to point them to?

It wasn't really an error caused by malfunctions, it was just a improper installing technicality. It was mainly caused by VIP v0.2, old errors.

Yes I did, that's how I fixed it, I uninstalled and then I downloaded the V0.4 then I installed both hotfixes and TADA, no errors and fine gameplay.
