I've discovered that one piece of information that I came to rely on has been removed with the UI changes of of the 1.3 patch. In 1.2 if I clicked on the production lens and zoomed in, each state had a small box over it that displayed peasants, unemployed and infrastructure. Now in 1.3 it just shows the number of peasants. Mousing over that number does display unemployment, but that means having to mouse over each and every state to get the information that previously was available at a glance.

This is a functional downgrade.

I thought it was a "me-issue", so I'm glad that you're pointing this out here!

I got the game to show the peasant/unemployment boxes on the map from the production lens exactly once yesterday, but was not able to reproduce it. So I assume it has not been removed, but that it's buggy in some ways.

It may have to do with these change from the 1.3 changelog:

State Traits now shown as Map Markers in the Production Lens

That would explained why something has changed here, though not why there is partly less information now (infrastructure) respectively why the information have been moved to the tooltips (unemployment number; to either the tooltip of the tack or when hovering over the map itself)
