Unable to recruit robot assault armies?

Researched droids, but am unable to recruit robot assault armies, this is on 2.6.1.

When I say "unable" I mean the selection isn't there. Am I missing something? Being blind? Dumb? Or is it a bug?

you either have to

1 upgrade your androids
2 HAVE android pops on this very planet
3 enable military service for these robo pops

one of those 3 things might not have happend, which could prevent you from building robo armies

Enabling military service did it, thanks. Has that always been the case? I don't remember having to change that setting previously, and I've on and off played just about every version of this game since release.

Recently changed for Robot to not have Soldiers only as default because they cannot be soldiers. Droids get rights from robots.
