Unable to baptize as HRE emperor?

Hi all. I'm unable to baptize my twin sons as HRE emperor. I'm not excommunicated or anything, Christian as is my wife. Under reasons why the decision is greyed out it lists just : a notable clergyman must exist. I have several duchy tier theocratic vassals. The pope is also around, although he shut the gates on a disease. Is that the problem?

I would really like to use this feature, but I always seem to forget. Now I remembered 5 days before the little brats turn 2 abd I'm still unable to do it. Any suggestions?

If the pope is in hiding and you don´t have the law free elections for clergymen you have to wait until the pope comes out of his hole.
