Suddenly FtG refuses to start. Clicking on the link or directly on the FTG.exe makes the Steam icon in the activity bar to appear breifly but nothing else happens. Have done a restart of the pc. Still the same. In the activity screen (Ctrl+Alt+Del) there is a Steam Client Bootstrapper, Steam Client Service and a Steam Client Webhelper process.

Is this about a Steam problem or what?

Ignore this. Seems to be due to changes I did in the countrys.txt.

Which is the reason that one should always make a backup (e.g. saving the old file as countrys.bak before changes) so that any change can be reverted if it causes problems just as Havard already advised in 2006 for editing the files of EU2

As usual I had a backup so it was easy to fix. I agree that you should always have backups of the files you are editing and not just one (backup).
