Description
v3.1.1 (22a5) if i select the dx11 renderer option when i restart the game i get a backscreen with sound
To fix exit \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\settings.txt renderer=0

To fix edit \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\settings.txt renderer=0

Same issue. Mouse is there, rest black

Same issue. When Dx11, Windows 11 HDR and Auto HDR turned on.

Yeah, re-confirming this issue between AutoHDR and the DX11 renderer. Disabling HDR or switching to DX9 bypasses the issue.

Well. I'll throw in my 5 cents. HDRAuto, Win 11, Dx11, black screen. Disable Dx11 and everything is fine.

I recently started playing and can also confirm this behaviour.
Windows 11 version 21H2 build 22000.348
Ryzen 5 5600X
Radeon RX 6800XT Driver version 21.11.2.

Only happens with DX11 with HDR and auto HDR.
DX11 with HDR enabled but without auto HDR works fine.
DX9 with HDR enabled works fine (Auto HDR is also enabled but should affect only DX11 and up)

on newer versions of win11 you can disable auto-hdr on 1 game, i disabled auto-hdr for Sellaris and that got rid of the blackscreen.

"settings -> system -> screen -> graphic pictures" look for the game, click on it go to options and enable 'don't use auto-hdr'
I had to manual translate from dutch so it's possible i'm a bit off

dutch: "instellingen -> systeem -> beeldscherm -> Grafishe afbeeldingen"
klik op het spel, ga naar opties en schakel "automatische HDR niet gebruiken" in

I know this is an old issue, but I just got back into the game and this was the first post I was able to find that actually fixed my issue. And I wanted to give thanks when it was due, so thank you nvdhaar for the solution I was looking for. I almost gave up and uninstalled the game and marked it as a game that was broken until a future patch.
