Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
This happens during a war between 2 AI empires when one side has captured multiple outposts. If a captured outpost is being attacked by a fleet from the defending empire, and if there is an offensive fleet from the attacking empire in an adjacent system, the offensive fleet will move into position to try to hyperlane jump to the system being attacked. The countdown to jump starts, and then again, and again. Until eventually, the outpost is recaptured by the defending fleet, and the offensive fleet selects a new system to target entirely. Completely ignoring the recaptured system and enemy fleet. (Note: when I mention the 'offensive' & 'defensive' fleets, I do not mean their 'attacking' & 'defending' war status, but only the relative 'position' of the war between the 2 empires.)
