crashes are sadly a known issue
the only real solution at this time is to tweak your galaxy settings lower

1) If playing on a large galaxy, switch to medium
2) If you have 10 AI empires, go down to 6
3) If you have max Fallen Empires and Marauders, go down 1 number for both
4) Keep Primitive Civilizations and Habitable worlds on normal [default is x1]

any current saves you have you might just want to delete because obviously they keep crashing

i would also highly recommend that you try to keep your population under control as well, the games #1 reason for lag is the internal ai trying to calculate stuff for pops and if you have, say for example, 4k pops...that is a lot of calculations it has to do

Thanks for the advice, I just thought the Xbox series x would be able to take on a lot more then the Xbox one x cause that didn’t lag when I have every thing maxed out

Reactions:
mainly the lag is coming from pops

the more pops you (and other empires) have, the laggier the game gets

this is due to the internal ai having to calculate what the pops are doing every month, regardless of what that is

There should be no crashes for big galaxies. Hope this can be fixed.

Next update should have some performance impovements (2.6 or higher).
crashes can happen on any size galaxy if the right criteria is met

i.e. if you have a ton of pops then the game will usually lag rather badly

also xbone is more prone to crashing off lag spikes/freezes than ps4 i think
