Description
Can't research the basic techs from each branch

Game Version
Eridanus 3.11.2 (Latest)

What version do you use?
Steam

What expansions do you have installed?

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Hello!

Since about two months ago I can no longer research any of the attached basic technologies, and therefore I am unable to progress through some scenarios that are dependant on having these or the branches that needs them. They never show in any game anymore.

I first thought it was a mod or my own modifications, but after disabling all my mods and checking the integrity of my files, replacing the files I had modified, the problem is still there.

I have not tried to uninstall the game yet, but would be the next step to try.

Anyone else who has experienced this problem?

Cheers.

Steps to reproduce the issue.

These techs were intentionally removed from the game, not a bug.

> therefore I am unable to progress through some scenarios that are dependant on having these or the branches that needs them.

Like what? Be specific. Preferably, upload a save file demonstrating the problem. If you have mods that are dependent on those techs, that is a problem with the mods, not the game.

Huh? I usually always read the changelog on any patch, but must've missed this. And I've played with mods so long I just assumed that some techs where vanilla.

The tech in question was the Tier 2 or 3 version of Engineering, which led to you being able to mine nanites.

Which patch removed those techs from the game?

I thank you for the quick and accurate response. :)

The tech overhaul in 3.11. They were not mentioned by name in the patch notes, but some were mentioned by name in the dev diaries leading up to 3.11. The first beta, I believe. The generic +x% research techs were removed.

Do you have the name of the tech that let you mine nanites? I don't see one. ("Nanite Mineral Probes" refers to quality of the probes, not mining nanites)
