Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I have encountered my first alien species. I am trying to assign an envoy to the first contact project, without success.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Click first contact icon (radar dish) at Izval.
Click box with exclamation where it says "Envoy"
Envoy Assignments pop up appears listing three available envoys
Click any portrait. Nothing happens
While recreating this bug to report it, I reloaded save twice. After first reload, issue was still present. After second reload the issue seems to have resolved itself.

Now it has happened again on my second first contact. Adding screenshot and another save file. Issue persists after two re-loads, so now I am less sure the reloading cleared it the first time, but I am not sure what did.

Unfortunately, the issue does not exactly reproduce on our end.

Just to be 100% sure you are clicking to the right of the portrait in where you are selecting an envoy ?
Does clicking there solve the issue for you or does it still happen ?

It seems like click directly on the portrait icon does not select it so I will at least log an issue on that.

I finally got a chance to play with this some more yesterday. This seems to be it. I can click successfully anywhere else in the envoy description box, except the portrait. It didn't occur to me at first because all other leader interactions are based on clicking on the portrait. I also learned this is the case for assigning a envoy to any task, such as improve relations or establish spy network, not just first contact.
Thanks for looking into this.
