So I installed EU

And when I started, I freaked out. I only could find a trade button, and some kind of statistics button. It seemed very different and the graphic was, well, not very good.

Is there any building or production button in EU?

Click on a province and then click on the buildings in the little city picture, if your tech level is high enough you'll be able to upgrade them (or recruit armies/navies if that is what you clicked)

Right-clicking on one of your provinces might work too.. I am not sure.

Yes, right-clicking will bring up a little box with all sorts of things listed, and you can click on any of those listings.
