Serious bug, and a probable fix

If you get the unit type "Escort Destroyers", you can no longer load your save games.

The problem is that there is a bug in "destroyer.txt" in the unit subdirectory. The bug is that there are only five types (#0-4, although the last one is labelled #5, in truth #4 is missing) of destroyer, and getting this tech activates the sixth type (#5).

I could not load my saved games. When I duplicated destroyer unit type #4, I could load them.

I did not write this mod, so I won't suggest that others make this change, but I would suggest that you be very careful about researching tech "escort destroyers" if you want to be able to save games.

Aha, so that might be what's causing teh infamous corruption bug

The Game is looking for the unit statistics of the escort destroyer,
and when it can't find them, it crashes. I've done a once over
of the latest TechMod for Stony Road (still being beta-tested by
me only), and I've found that escort DDs are correctly entered
in my game.

However, I think a prime candidate would be the 50~ (!) tank
models I put into TM....I guess I'll have to start my armor tech
tree update much earlier than I was going to...

I'd just wanted to say thank you, I can load my saves again. The Glorious Japanese can continue to expand across the Pacific.
After the soccergame (Liverpool-Celtic) it'll probably be an all-nighter with HOI (My horrible mistress!)
