Greetings! Through some coding and a bunch of saved game editing in an older version I used to make things work better, I finally did a 1936 Global Total War FFA game, in which all countries are locked into war against all other countries, observing the chaos from the safety of Madagascar. It took around 12 hours. First 4 were exciting, I checked in occasionally after that. I deliberately weakened USA and SOV, latter a bit too much. I wrote up a guide on how to do it, can post it later. I figure the screenshots are good fun. I had fun doing it, at least. Had planned to do this a long time. Can post a 2nd batch of screenshots. (I had an account, Eregos, last posted before the 2016 forum transition, but I couldn't recover it.)

I think France got too focused winning the Infinite ground war to focus on IC.

I’m still having fun captioning this silliness, so it’s time for episode 2.

The USA has the best cores, so I would expect if they can get a properly established foothold in Europe they will eventually win.

I wouldn’t have given them the beachhead in Spain given it was France they were fighting, by the time the French AI responded they were likely to be well into the French cores which would disproportionately hurt the French.

But cool screenshots and idea!

Yeah, in hindsight I think West Africa would've been the more compelling beachhead. Would've given the French more time to respond. They had troops in Spain to fight the British, but too few close reinforcements.

This looks like a lot of fun to play.

What did your coding involve? I was thinking of replicating the same thing with a bunch of custom events that set each country at war with the other and relations to -200, and one event to trigger them all.
