Screen flickering in game

Hello,

I get a very regular issue with my screen light flickering while in game. This come and goes randomly but is happening very regularly to a point where it strains my eyes.

This happens Windowed and Full Screen. I am playing on my main monitor with resolution 2560 x 1440

Has this always happened since you've had the game? or only since when?

Does it happen right from game/galaxy start? Or only in mid or late game, or only after playing for a while?

Does it affect our similar games like Stellaris and EU4?

I did more test:
- It does not seem to occure much when I first launch the game and I am in game
- It does only start to happen when I am in game for a while playing
- It does not start on the menu (see above comment) but once it start and I exit to main menu, it keeps happening there > I actually need to completely exit the game and then start over. But if I do that right after, the flicker happen again almost straight away once in game

For example, I played another game after my first post above and started again CK3 1 hour ago. I played like 45 minutes and I did not experience flicker.

That sounds like overheating then. In the game's settings turn Vsync off, then set Maximum FPS to 60.


If that doesn't help, please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 30 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php
