Last night I played a game for several hours, exited to the main menu, left the desktop, and went to bed. It was an Ironman game, so it should have autosaved.

But when I load up the game today, that save is just missing. It's not in the list of saves, or in the save file in local files, and I have no idea how to get it back or even how to prevent this from happening again.

Please help.

In Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3 you'll see last_save.ck3 . Copy that file to the /save games/ folder there, does that get you going again?
