I've been thinking about starting an AAR for the first time, so I've been trying to make use of the native screenshot tool within DH (press F11, find picture within game folder). It seems to work partially, but for some reason, if I have the ledger open, it just doesn't take the picture. And then if I close the ledger, it takes a picture just fine. I've checked all the different folders to see if it somehow got redirected, no dice. Is this a known issue? It would put a pretty big damper on things if I have to fiddle with windowed mode and snipping tool.

Unfortunately yes, there are issue with the internal screenshot function, in some cases it doesn't work.
But you can use another tool (or the normal Windows tool) without the need for windowed mode, AFAIK.
