Hello, and Season's Greetings :)

I recently purchased a new, sealed copy of HOI Platinum with the CORE addition, but the game is the 1.0 version.

I have tried all the links here to download the 1.06c patch but none of them are active.

Unfortunately the game is unplayable past late 1937 as it stands, as it crashes religiously.

All help is extremely welcome.

Thats so weird platinums meant to be 1.06c???

Anyway the patch is available from the main Paradox site downloads section towards the bottom of the page in this link...

Thank you very much, I couldn't find the patch anywhere.

I found it weird the game proved to be 1.0 after reading here that it should be 1.06c, but there you go :)

I did persevere with it and actually got it to 1946 in CORE with normal difficulty settings - played as Italy, didn't join the 'Axis'. Interesting outcome: didn't have the forces to move until 1942, then declared war on Vichy France, wiped them out at sea and onland except in west africa, backstabbed by the Germans, but they realized too late. Italy joined the Allies and got to Dec 1946 controlling All of Italy and the Italian empire, most of Vichy France, Austria except for Vienna and Linz, plus Constanz and Nurnberg in Germany.

Have a feeling the AI cheats relentlessly - seems capable of generating 20 German divisions in the blink of an eye, or moving 10 divisions of Panzers 500k in 2 hours!

Couldn't play beyond that as it developed a glitch, but I thought it was pretty good for Italy.

Anyhow, I'm sure I've bored you to tears. Thanks again for the link, and does that patch work in CORE as well?

Seems like your having fun in the Med!!!
The patch is applied to your main hoi1 folder and Core works with 1.06c.
You want to have the last version of CORE though the one that comes with platinum is is the old one 0.80 i think you want CORE 0.90+0.91 to be up to date.
