Description​

So, I've been getting these random crashes again and again. They've gotten worse recently, to the point where the game is basically unplayable. They aren't consistent in their appearance - sometimes I can play for hours without issues, other times I can't play for five minutes. Sometimes the crash happens when I zoom in or out, especially when the paper map and terrain map switch, but sometimes it just crashes on its own.

Also, the crash report generated doesn't have a save game associated because it happened on country selection for a new game

Steps to reproduce​

The crash always happens when I'm in game and just looking around the map. Sometimes it happens when I switch from terrain to paper map mode. Other times it just happens randomly. Sometimes it crashes on the countrys selection screen

Hello! Are your graphic card drivers up to date? Could you try deleting the shadercache found under (Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria 3/shadercache) and running the game again?
If updating drivers and deleting the shadercache doesn't help, could you please upload your DxDiag file (Start Menu -> DxDiag -> Save all information)?

Alright, I will do that.

I will say, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game several times, and also cleared the victoria 3 documents folder, and none of those have made the crash go away.

Hello, sorry for not getting back to you. Reinstalling, updating drivers, and clearing the shader cache all at once did work for a while, but the bug has reappeared and is getting worse. Recently I've been getting crashes within five minutes of playing the game, making it unplayable. As requested, here is the dxdiag file.

Also, an important detail, the game doesn't crash when I just leave it sitting there, it only crashes on ticks.

This is probably a memory issue:

Memory: 8192MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 7546MB RAM

The game requires a full 8gb of memory; your two AMD video devices can take away up to 6gb of that 7.5 you have! Leaving just 1.5gb between the game and Windows.

Please expand your Windows paging file maximum size to 32gb

Optional: Increasing the paging file size on Windows computers

On computers that have 8 GB of RAM, the suggested paging file size is 16 GB.
