Problem installing patch! Help!

I have WinXP 2.4 GigHz. I opwn Scandanavian versan and have downloaded the patch 1.01. It put 2 files in the directory and a read me file but when I run game it still say 1.00

The changes in read me file not installed!?!! For example, Rostov is stillown by USSR in 1941. ReadMe file say it is now German.

What do I need to do?

Did you run the patch file after you placed it in the folder? If not locate the HOI_1.01_PAN_UPDATE.EXE file and double click on it to start the patch process.
