I saw a video of Quill's where he built a dam, it wasn't that wide but it said the maintanence was $3,200 and it was genereating 1600mw. He seemed VERY happy about that, and did some math and said it was less than half of what he was paying for solar. Wish I could remember which it was.

MUCH less. 2C/MW as compared to 7,5C/MW. If they prove to be so efficient they definatelly gonna be best non-wonder PP in game. But as I wrote in OP, it's hard to get hard data, since they are very dependant on rivers water energy/momentum.
