I have posted this before, but it goes "poof". The orbital magnetic shield expedition appear to have absolutely no effect on atmosphere loss. I keep placing them, and no changes. I note that the same exact question was asked back in 2019 but not answered. If they do not work, can the mission be removed from the game?

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
I believe they reduce atmosphere loss by 0.1%, same as generators built on the surface. Might be too little to notice if you don't pay close attention.
Well I checked multiple times right before and after the shield went up... No change in loss of atmosphere rates...
Magnetic Shields reduce atmosphere loss per sol by 0.05%; they do work, they're just very inefficient.
I may be wrong but pre B&B it was 0.4% (so max. 2% with 5 shields)
