Hello Stellaris: Console Edition Community!

This afternoon we have released our second Nemesis update for Stellaris: Console Edition! This new version fixes several Community-reported bugs and integrates the Nakama multiplayer backend. Nakama for Stellaris: Console Edition will allow PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players to join each other’s multiplayer games. As usual, please report crashes and multiplayer desyncs here.

* Added Nakama multi-player support.
* Fixed some multi-player out of sync issues.
* Fixed some rare random crashes.
* Fixed soft-lock caused by first contact events with pirates or marauder raiding fleets.
* Fixed out-of-sync where civilian fleets attempting to flee had no valid destination target and flooded the MP event system every tick.
* Fixed crash when Uplift pre-sapient event completed, when bringing forward 2.8 saves that were mid-research.
* Fixed rare crash when linking Paradox and platform accounts.
* MP observer mode overhaul.
* Improved MP specific UI and behavior.
* Added relative fleet strength indicators, compared to player's average fleet.

Please note that save file compatibility is not guaranteed. If you experience crashes or other issues, please start a new save and see if these issues persist. If the issues do persist, please report them here.

This will be our last update for the Nemesis patch, while we prepare for Aquatics on Console Edition. More news on Aquatics Soon™. ;) Be sure to join us this Friday for our next Console Edition Development Diary, where we’ll be talking about some of the changes coming in the next update.

Thanks for playing Stellaris: Console Edition!

* Added Nakama multi-player support.

What does this actually do on console?

On PC this allowed for Cross-store multiplayer so Steam users could play with Xbox store/Epic Store users ect.

This allows PS4 and PS5 players to play together. :)

This will be our last update for the Nemesis patch
then this will have been my last attempt at playing this botched version (on PS5) - as the upgraded Consumer Goods buildings still don't work!! they still can be upgrade and will get the increased upkeep, but without increasing the Artisan Jobs provided at all.

i know it's not exactly game breaking for combat oriented players, but for a building oriented player like myself it just repels me. payed updates should make the game better, not worse.

it also means that for the first time ever i will not get the next DLC day one but will wait and see if the fixes come in first. after the Arc Emitter/ Focused Arc Emitter not having been available for research to players on Playstation for YEARS now (even when you pick that research up from NPC wrecks the research option still won't become available to the player ever) i lost trust in the Devs fixing the game eventually over time.

Consumer Goods buildings are not meant to provide extra jobs. The higher building tiers provide +1/+2 job output.

As for the Arc Emitter/Focused Arc Emitter bug, can you please make a bug report on this? This is the first I can recall hearing of it.
