I am traveling and need to use my Mac Laptop. I thought to play CK2 the same way that I do on my PC, with my Steam Workshop mods. However, nothing that I do will make CK2 use them. Generally, the mods tab is disabled. If I leave the launcher open and unsubscribe then subscribe from mods, they are then listed but CK2 won't use them. Once I close the game, the mods are forgotten again and will not be listed when I open the program again.

When I check the Documents⁩ ▸ ⁨Paradox Interactive⁩ ▸ ⁨Crusader Kings II⁩ ▸ mod folder, there are zip files for the Workshop mods in the folder, but all are zero bytes in size. I checked this thread: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/ck2-mods-unavailable-mac.1412270/#post-26822045 and Steam has permission.

If I install a mod manually, it works fine.

Please check in Steam that the Steam Overlay is enabled, AND Steam Cloud Sync is enabled.

If those are okay it really should work. Have you tried restarting Steam?

This may be the problem, although when I tried to test it by turning on the overlay, the CK2 launcher won't run from Steam anymore. At this stage, I'm ready to table it for the last 3 days of my vacation and just run it manually from the folder. Once I return home, I will empty my mod folder and try again.
