Shouldn't it be Bratislav at the beginning, or something like that?

Why? It belongs to Austria and had done so since 1526 - and they called it Pressburg.

An interesting diplomatic system, to say the least.

I'm unclear on something. Are there separate alliances as well as coalitions (As with alliances and factions in HoI) or is it that only the two coalitions. That's not a criticism I'm just unsure from what you said regarding a country's allies not necessarily being allied to each other.

There are no separate alliances, although a nation will come to the aid of it's satellites and the satellites of it's overlord.

Will game performance be closer to HOI3/Vicky2 (some slowdowns when things get complex) or CK2 (amazing optimization on any machine).

Edit: also, in the endgame do you and your allies get to negotiate a concert of europe to redraw the map ala metternich? Would be kind of a cool "you win" feature. Regardless, looks amazing, cant wait to preorder.

it runs faster than ck2.

So...there are no alliances outside of Coalitions. And questions:

Can you declare without being in a coalition/can you be a target of a war if you are not a member of any coalition?

What are the diplomatic possibilities of Satellites?

Can you peace out if you are a member of a coalition but not the leader?

And it is possible to annex capital provinces?
