If the “legends” are based on real folklore, shouldn't the completed legends be available for reuse as seed?
The seed should then be available to the rulers of all regions where the original lore was transmitted.
For example, in the real world, the King Arthur stories are said to have developed independently in France, Germany, etc.
Similarly, Cinderella is supposed to have developed independently in various countries.
I feel that the current “legends” are nothing more than propaganda and have no historical continuity or change.
I am not an expert on folklore. Apologies if my points are off the mark.
