Hey all, I'm trying to complete the Corsican missions for Rome under the matter of italia branch, so "Control Corsica" and "Supply Corsica" but i'm stuck since i don't have enough of a roman population to completely colonize the Island. Right now I have about half. Any advice on how I can convert or bring enough romans over to fulfill the win conditions and get back to invading Carthage?

Thanks!

The Roman specific mission tree 'the first provincia' give syou athe ability to colonize corsica.

Helpful, thanks guys. I can colonize it, but it's going very slowly. My big problem is that corsican is not an integrated culture. Any advice on how to manage this without upsetting everyone?

Ex nihilo nihil fit

So it really depends on what the local population is like at the moment. From the comment "it's going very slowly," I'm guessing you're actually in a good place. Colonization requires two things:
  1. Territory within range to colonize has population of at least 8
  2. Said territory has your culture and religion dominant
What this means is that, assuming you have converted/assimilated enough pops (and if you have pushed some colonization forward, you probably have), you can shuttle slaves around to get the above qualifications met. Additionally, to avoid the year cooldown on a territory colonizing you can simply move your Roman/Hellenic slaves over to the newly colonized land (thus meeting the population qualifications), colonize from there, and repeat.

It's tedious and rather expensive process (make sure you have veggies in the capitol to get that -20% move slave cost), but it can let you sweep colonization across vast expanses of land. The main challenge with Corsica is just that you can't ship slaves from distant territories to get that critical mass.
