Launcher Crashes on Pressing Play (Linux)

Pretty much what the title says.
Launcher doesn't even get to the title screen before crashing.

I've tried removing both launcher files/folders in .local/share/'Paradox Interactive' and restarting
I know you can bypass the installer by using the eu4 app in the folder itself.
Eu4 runs fine if you click the app so it is clearly a launcher only probem.
I don't want to do that though because I play with mods.

What distro are you using? I have zero issues on Ubuntu 20.04. There are scaling issues but no crashes.

Ubuntu 22.04

It doesn't even get to the start screen.

Can you please do the following

1. Right click the game you're having issues with in your Steam library and add this in the "Launch Options" window:

--pdxlDebug


2. Start the launcher and the debug log will be automatically generated and located in one of the below locations

• $XDG_DATA_HOME/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/logs/ (if $XDG_DATA_HOME is set)
• ~/.local/share/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/logs/ (if $XDG_DATA_HOME is not set)

Please attach here ALL .log files from that folder, thanks.

Have you already tried removing the folder ~/.paradoxlauncher which contains the actual launcher installation?

Which title screen are you talking about here? In my other comment I assumed that you were talking about the launcher home screen. But your log files indicate that the launcher got as far as starting eu4.

Talking about the eu4 opening screen. I press play on the launcher and the game doesn't even get to start really, just crashes

In that case, does it help if you set "multi_sampling=0" in ~/.local/share/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV/settings.txt?

That seems to have fixed it. Appreciate the help
