Well, this is tied into the 5 year war that took me several hours getting ready and finally warring.

I am Fanatic Egalitarian And Xenophile (United Nation if Earth)

I lost my brain for a moment and about 2-3 years ago in game time, I embraced the pacificist faction (I wanted a second faction where I was getting influence).

Well what that did was drop my egalitarian faction -10%. Which put it under 60%. Then i declared war and the pacifist faction (now with 70% of my pop). Was super pissed (13% loyalty).

One planet went full crazy and went to 100% spiritualist attraction. (Which will be fun as as I have droids)

I have a 25% negative opinion due to the non violence modifier for pacifists. How long does it take to go away.

So, how borked am I. How do I get rid of the spiritualist planet, how do I bring the pacifist back under line?

Or should I go back prior to embracing the faction, and lose out on my War gains?

Let it burn.....let it burn!

No seriously, I have lived your tale before, it's what great about the game.

It depends on how long you are willing to wait and how chaotic you are willing to see it get. I would embrace your egalitarian faction as pacifist factions really get in the way wars and it can be hard to expand aggressively when 75 percent of your pops are pacifist.

Thanks guys. I save scummed. I apparently embraced pacifist faction near the end of my War, so I completed the war. Created defensive armies on the new planets and started to rebuild my empire.

Then I got attacked again and I’m not ready for it. Ugh lol

Wars can take a long time, take your time.

Or just start over. Strategy games are like that...it's a game, not real life. Games are meant to be started over (or at least, played again from a fresh start). If you lose, you lose. If you win, you win.

Rage quitting is a meme for a reason...starting over is the polite way of rage quitting. Table flipping is a time honored tradition.

You can still come back from a bad loss, I managed to defeat the awoken empire in my game even after my entire fleet was decimated.

I was being semi-facetious. The same strategy (both yours and mine) are thousands of years old.

Posting on this site using a virtual keyboard using MS Edge (which I use in 99% of my posts, and this site is very touch-screen unfriendly on first post but very friendly on edited posts, which is (one of) the reason(s) I don't post often on this site) means I have to edit 99% of my posts, so you are forgiven answering me before I made it obvious I was being facetious,
