Im modding my own scenario which is using a classic tech tree but I have noticed a couple of oddities.

A CAG cost approx 3 IC to build on its own but when I go to build a carrier and check the 'add CAG' box it only adds approx 1 IC to the cost of the carrier & CAG when purchased together.

Any ideas on how and where to modify this?

Also, when selecting an air unit and opting to add a unit of escorts in the construction, the stats information does not reflect the combined stats of the bombers and the escorts. The information displayed simply shows the stats of the bombers only. Is this WAD? Even if so, can someone offer some pointers on how and where to edit this?

There definately seems to be some bug issues with escort fighters-specifically with range.

Basic escort fighter has a range set at 400-presumably to limit a bomber to the same range when attached. When you attach an escort to a bomber the range does not reduce.

To test other methods, I then changed the range of basic escort to -200, ie- to reduce the range of an attached bomber by 200. This does not work either. In fact this creates an additional bug by which when you remove said escort from a bomber, the bomber's basic range increases!. So you can have 2 level 1 bombers with different maximum ranges.

Help please!
 
Range in brigade stat is MAXIMUM RANGE, not additional.

Because of that some of good mods (especialy cold war/modern days) contain brigade/tech bugs that need to be repaired manually. Sad but true.

For example you can decrease range of bomber division down to escort range but you could not INCREASE it with "air tanker brigade", so tanker brigades are _not needed_. And I modify techs to increase max range of refuelable bombers/fighters/escort ftrs. instead.
