Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Playing as Egypt. I'm getting a consistent crash when my legion (which is drilling) is awarded aduitrix.
I got around it once by going back to a save from the previous year, but it cropped up again.
Stopping the drilling didn't help, and on checking the wiki, this distinction is a yearly-pulsed thing based on unit XP, so it doesn't look like there is any way to avoid it. This is obviously a literal game-breaker, since I can't continue.
I was using a couple of mods (one which makes adds a button toggle the debug console) and one which technically changes the colour of Egypt. I say technically, since to appy it to my current save, I had to save-edit it in. Tried it by disabling those for what it was worth, no effect. (No should there be, since neither would be touching the events.)
I wonder if this is due to some strange behavior as I split and re-combined my legion at one point (like, hours ago) and it didn't seem to like that much, not recognising it as legion. I scrapped the units and re-formed it after the war and carried on.
Edit: When looking in the error log (as also suggested by the community on reddit), there were several references to "Scoped object of type 'unit' is not valid (Unit [4294967295])" including one which ended with "distinction" (consistent in all error logs from the seven crash logs I have (of which I have attached a zip file of the crsh logs from the final).
I theorhise that deleting this "ghost" legion may fix the problem in this save (though I don't know the cause, obviously). If that is the case, I am just competent enough to be able to fix this myself via save-editing, if I know exactly what code to delete - I can probably find the unit given the ID tag, but am uncertain, for instance, as to exactly where to start and end deleting with the brackets, for example.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
Open save file, unpause, wait a few days.
