Hi. I have searched for this topic, but could not find it somewhere else:

I explored the starting map with my "Heroes", met some sandworms and survived, but badly hurt. So, i sent them back to the camp. Stupidedly, they tried to run through a big area of firebugs, which i discovered just then. And survived again, but only by fleeing.
And what did i have to see then? Some settlers try to walk through this firebug area to collect the meat of the sandworms! No wonder, that they got hurt badly in the process and tried to retreat. And even, as they were able to run away, they then died somewhere on the way back.

How the heck can i tell them: "don´t F***ing go there!!! This is a NO-GO-AREA!!!"?
How can i forbid to collect at all?

If they have sucidial tendencies, then let me give them some powderkegs and let them blow off themself there. But running through a minefield, because there is some not wanted nor needed thing on the other side? Makes no sense at all!

Couldn't tell you. Best you can do is clear the area beforehand. As for Sandworms, you CAN clear them out with your first 3 Specialists depending on the combined Attack stats, but I advise against this in the early game. When you find the Sandworm next time, LEAVE, and note the location for later, when you have much stronger specialists than the starters. Or at least twice the number if you want to zerg rush them with a number of specialists.

As for Colonists, just avoid building structures and placing work areas close to enemy positions, at least until you have cleared them.

Heya! The colonists should not collect any food from the Sandworms unless the work area of the Food Storage is placed there - same goes for the Specialists, they shouldn't start gathering it unless you give the command. So if this does happen again, check your work areas and make sure none are placed close to the location with the dangerous animals and you should be good to go!
