How do I increase my war demand points in-game?

I currently can't go above 100 with my militarist human military, I'm trying to vassalize the last remaining empire left in the galaxy. Guess I'll have to wage war every 5 years and purge their planets little by little. But I really don't want to do that... everytime I wage war on them and wait 5 years their fleets are stronger than they were last time! I've got a 41k navy while they now have a 31k navy . I won though... just barely.

You can research tech in society that decreases the cost of war demands. Sometimes you have to declare a war on one empire multiple times to get all the demands you want from them. Each demand has a cost, and you only have a total of 100 war score to spend on your demands.

Like Raylof said, society research; think there's only 2 tech that reduces war cost, also in the supremacy tradition tree there's one that reduces cede planet cost by 25%.

And humiliate them in the first war. It'll make it easier to beat them in the second because they won't be able to recover as easily.

So the humiliation has a purpose in the game because from what has been said to me it was of no value .
