In the game its says you have a 8.something % chance of recovering lost equipment after a battle, based on division reliability. The recovered amount is often far larger than that. Recovery can also result in you capturing allied equipment (I guess I should make an additional bug report for that? combat log is messed up in general).

In a test environment this can result in you creating new equipment out of thin air.

First image is the end result of invading USSR. Multiple equipment types are showing recovery above 100%. All are showing recovery way above 8.9%.

Second and Third images are a test setup to determine if the bug was the combat log or recovery itself. Recovered totals above losses do show up in logistics tab so bug is recovery not combat log (although that does have its own issues).

Steps to Reproduce
1. Setup situation where Germany is at war with Poland and 1 battle is to take place
2. Make sure Poland has 100% equipment in field
3. Delete production lines and any equipment in stockpile
4. Start the battle with Germans attacking Polish
5. Germany loses the battle (required for recovery to happen)
6. Check Combat Log and Logistics Tab (will show way more equipment captured than 8.9%)
7. Wait for divisions to full reinforce
8. Logistics Tab will now show equipment amount recovered over equipment lost

This is still happening as of 1.12.10. The pictures below are of a mass mob Raj against the Co-Pro, with UK CAS overhead (A20, A26), in multiplayer.

The Co-Pro fielded divisions with a lot of SPAA battalions each, but this only benefited the Allies because the Raj ended the game with ~1200 allied CAS of its own due to recovery (keep in mind it got more CAS than what was shot down). CAS was the most noticeable result of the bug, but the combat log reveals combat + attritional losses for the whole war were almost made up for in recovery. This is a very serious bug.

Notice that nearly every battle in the combat log will have this bug, the 2 first screenshots are only significant examples.

Attached a save of this game. You can load it in vanilla, but to see the combat logs you need to load the mod "Free Historical Mod". It's a vanilla-like mod that doesn't change this mechanic. The European theater looks weird due to a Barb victory and a western front conditional surrender at the end, the save isn't damaged.
