So, I am truly an idiot. I was beginning to learn how to create mods, and discovered the \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod folder. And I decided to rename my current mod files so instead of numbers they would have the actual name. That did not work well for me. It basically created a duplicate mod for each mod when I loaded the CK3 launcher, but only one worked. I wanted to fix this, so I proceeded to uninstall all the mods, uninstall CK3, and then reinstall the mods. This did not work. The mods now show up in the launcher but they do not work in the game. Now, they still show up as duplicates, but neither work. The mod duplicate that used to work (the one without icons) now has the error "The path in this mod's descriptor file is invalid or does not exist"

Is there anyway I can just start over? Uninstalling and reinstalling the mods doesn't fix the issue in the \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod folder.

Please help

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox/CK3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam CK3 or Documents CK3 locations, before installing again.

Thank you so much! It worked perfectly!
