Grey Screen Crash Problem

Playing MP with some friends and my game just froze, some seconds later a grey screen appeared and the game crashed, relaunched it and tried playing it again, same issue happened.

Have the game for about a week and this problem started today, it's very similar to a crash from the Hoi4 game, have no idea how to fix it there and in CK3.

How far do you get into the game before this happens?

Does it happen in the identical place in HOI4?


DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox/CK3/logs/ folder, attach system.log , error.log

"How far do you get into the game before this happens?" - It's extremely random, can happen from 10 minutes in to 2 hours playing it.

"Does it happen in the identical place in HOI4?" - The crash is extremely similar, but there's no exact place or motive why it happens, like said above it's extremely random, but it's not a launch crash, happens after some minutes playing the game.

Looks like you have a problem with your nVidia driver or card:

- uninstall your nVidia driver and all other nVidia software
- reboot
- install the latest by fresh download from here:
