The Second Treaty of Versailles
The signatories agree to uphold the terms of this treaty, upon their honour as Gentlemen and rulers of civilised nations. They hereby agree that they sign this treaty not only in regards to their nation, but in regards to all legitimate successor states, dominions and other such things.
1. The French Empire shall be limited as per the first Treaty of Versailles for 30 years.
2. The start of this term of punishment and limitation shall be taken as beginning from the signing of the original Treaty, November 11th, 1862.
3. The French Empire agrees to uphold good behaviour both domestically and internationally for these 30 years. Without reductions, this places the end date of the limitations on November 11th, 1892.
4. The French Empire may opt to undertake certain actions which shall reduce the time of their limitation. If all actions are undertaken, then the limitations may end on November 11th, 1869.
4a. Agreement to aid the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland end slavery and the slave trade globally. (1 year)
4b. Relinquishing all claims to land taken by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, now and forever. (1 year)
4c. Agreement to limit peacetime navy to 18 large and 50 small ships, or 30% of the number British large ships, 40% of the number British small ships, whichever is larger. Further agreement to limit wartime navy to 40% of the number of British large ships, 50% of the number of British small ships. (12 years)
4d. Agreement to forgo part of their claim to Morocco, so that this claim may be awarded to the Austrian Empire. (4 years)
4e. Agreement to hand over any unwanted ships to the United Kingdom of Scandinavia. (2 years)
4g. *Clause removed from public version of Treaty* (3 years)
5. The French Empire's army limitations are from this point on raised to 250,000 men. This figure includes regular forces, conscripts, irregulars, colonial forces and all other forces which are intended to be used in military actions upon land.
