For Belgium! Belgian mini-AAR

It would be really awesome if after this you did a "live" (no better word found in my small brain) AAR in which you would take Belgium from 1914 all the way through to 1963. In order to get rid of stalemates you could create your own conflicts or just leave it to the AI.

Partisans seems to be having a great time in Africa...

Brave Belgian soldiers pushes the front northwards.

The Axis is collapsing on the east due to Soviet pressure.

The Ottoman Empire reforming?!

A friendly government is set up in Spain, although Britain still occupies parts of the Iberian peninsula.

Success!

Magdeburg and Hamburg falls soon after.

Then Erfurt and Kiel.

Things looking grim for Germany, and then...

As you could see in the last update, the Romanian switch of allegiance made the map a little bit messy.

Battle for Berlin went surprisingly fast.

Ethiopia granted independence and merged with Eritrea. Haile Selassie wasn't welcome it seems.

An old axis nation falls. And did Turkey and Romania have to have the same colour?

If we're lucky we can make some gains before the soviets.

Rostock taken, now to march through Jylland and take Denmark.

France blocks my path in the south...

Danish front going smoothly.

French gave up their Eritrean provinces.

Turks reconquered Albania.

The axis are truly collapsing. Also, Japan puppets Nepal and Indonesia.

I managed to reach Cottbus and I'll assist in the battle for Dresden.

Path to Ålborg is blocked...

Current situation in Germany.

Italy is STILL dominating northern Africa, despite their mainland being invaded by the Soviets and French.

Denmark is ours!

Pretty much no way to expand more at the cost of Germany now.

Japan enjoying more success than Germany.

Soviets take one of the last German VPs.

I then loaded a game as Germany out of pity to see their situation.

It's actually kind of sad...

Germany... Defeated at last.

But the Axis is not disbanded yet, Mussolini vows to continue the struggle.

The Soviet Union keeps the polish territories they annexed with the blessing of Germany and redraws the Polish border.

They organize the rest of the occupied German territory into an occupation zone.

The war in Europe might seem to be approaching an end, but the allies suffer a huge loss in Asia as British India falls to Japan.

German IC gives me a fourth tech team!

The USA decides to end the axis and makes a bold landing in northern Africa, which is still dominated by Italy.

And Libya is invaded via Egypt, Italian Africa is collapsing.

... And so is the mainland as Soviet forces advances.

Soviets gain another puppet in eastern Europe.

Americans land in Sicily to prevent all of Italy falling under Soviet influence.

Romania is collapsing under a huge revolt.

Soviet crushes the rebellion and proclaims another puppet.

Mainland Italy is now fully occupied as American forces marched up Calabria, and the Albanian socialist state is born.

The Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere is growing larger as an Indian satellite state to Japan is born.

As well as a Pakistani one. Japan is dominating Asia.

The current situation in Europe as well as the victorious Belgian army.

The Italians are fighting until the end, Mussolini is issuing commands from the Greek island of Kalymnos.

The Belgian Diplomatic War begins. The Belgian government has no plans to give up their German and Danish holdings, so why not expand up to Sweden?

While I was abusing claim territory on Sweden Italy finally falls, marking the end of the axis.

Partisans plague British occupied Portugal.

And just when we thought the war was over, enemies rise once again! We're doomed!

Watch out boys, Guyana is coming for you.

Greece annexed Macedonia. Soviets still hasn't created a Yugoslavian state...

Another nation rises up against us.

A new war in Asia? I don't really think those enclaves have much chance against Japan, though.

I don't like the Finnish stacks in Åland...

These are troubled times, and more authoritarian measure are needed to be in full control.

Dammit USA, why do you have to make such a cool landing but with so few units?

German rebels are quickly defeated.

I... don't believe this. Guyana is at war against almost all of South and North america, and still manages to conquer territory!?

Sweden joins the greater Belgian union!

And the Soviets establish a communist Italian state. Interesting how they prioritized that over Yugoslavia. Is it the lack of Macedonia that hampers them?

I just realized I have more IC than France!

Either backstab the Allies or the Soviet Union , a lot will happen, or send the BEF (Belgian...) to Asia!

This is a really great AAR im sorry i have to go off topic.

I had a game in 1916 as Italy where I joined Germany in the Central powers. The idea was that since Germany was launching its offensive, I would be able to mass all of my troops and beat France before they could do anything.

As soon as that failed, during the winter of 1917 (January-Feb), Portugese, British and French troops landed in mainland Italy and quickly seized Rome and ended my game. I used what was left of the Regia Marina to try and hold them back, but down to 8 ships, it didnt work well.

What im trying to say is, at times the AI is very intelligent. Great AAR though.
