Hi, a friend is being launched in a game with byz, during his party, we have come to discuss the reasons for the fall of byzantium and the assistance provided by the West (crusades Varna, Nicopolis ) against the Turkish peril.
So I wondered what would happen if the empire managed to survive, to defeat and destroy the Turks?

the consequences could be:

_ A rebirth of the Byzantine Empire, the emperor proclaimed a renovatio imperii (as in the time of Justinian) Via certain conditions (hold greece and Anatolia, greece and Anatolia are Orthodox, the Ottoman no longer exists)
_ Return of Greek culture in Anatolia? (On this point is yet to be seen?)

once destroyed the Turks, and proclaimed renovatio imperii, the empire's missions would go back to the reconquest of the ancients Romans Territories: Egypt, Italy, Gaul, Hispania, UK. I explain the tasks of dlc give prestige bonus but also points adm or legitimacy.
Paradox may change these awards and add other bonus / malus:

_ addition military points or diplomatic points
_ increase / decrease tradition
_increase / decrease of maintenance
_increase / decrease moral/discipline
_increase / decrease of force limit,
_As in the reconquest of the former territories, a penalty of relations with other countries (Imperial reconquest being frowned upon by other European nations in particular)

about it why not add events like ck 2, or the Emperor/general victorious could organize a triumph?

the points I'd like to see well (only if byz manages to destroy the Turkish and retrieve greece and Anatolia)

proclamation of a "renovatio imperii"
Constantinople again becoming an Orthodox religious center
events as in ck2:
_ triumph (see above)
_ more missions
_more bonus/malus

what do you think? thank you to express your opinion here you agree or not. :)

ps: and then one day who knows maybe we will be entitled to this event? ;) :p:p:p

I assume OP is unaware of the Purple Phoenix DLC as part of the Pre-Order Pack, available on Steam? There could of course always be more flavor events, but a restored Byzantium is very alt-history by 1444. Steam
