Greetings people,

so far I have been reading a lot on these forums and now I would like to give my own thoughts.
I am the kind of player that looks not for efficiency or to reach goals, but when I build a city in any kind of game,
I aim to build nice and realistic. A city I would like to live in. I treat my games like a model train ;)

So I played a lot of sim-games in my time and the one I probably put more time into than any other is the Anno Series (or A.D. series in some areas), like I imagine a lot of you
did, too.
Now in Anno 1404 there was a feature to change the style and orientation of a building.
As you may know, in Anno you plop the basic building (farmers) and over time, they level up. Every level has multiple styles and you can adjust the style of the buildings at any time.
With this feature, you can straighten streets, make nice corners and over all give the whole city a more or less realistic look.

Now in past city builders, the chaos of zoned areas was always something that annoyed me a bit.
It is quite hard to get districts in your city that follow a certain style. Housing Projects, Trailer Parks, Villas and so on, are often mixed chaotically.
Creating districts like this was almost impossible so far.

The district feature that has been announced for C:S carries great hopes for me to help with that.
But creating coherent cities will still be hard I guess.
So I would request the possibility to change the style of a given building along it's current category (wealth, land value and so on).

What do you think? Have those of you who play or played Anno used this feature?
Should C:S make use of this?
