As shown in recent minor updates to how Faiths in CK3 work, I propose an expansion across the board to further detail faiths by reworking/splitting apart existing (non-Marriage) Doctrines they have.
1. Crime Doctrines:
1.1 Same-Sex Relations - from Criminal/Shunned/Accepted scale to Criminal (MM, FF), Criminal (M) + Shunned (F) or vice versal, Shunned (Equal), Accepted (F) Shunned (M) or vice versa, Accepted (All). The exact specifics are dependent on the very Faith itself, with the faith's stances of Gender in other departments used as placeholders in cases it is unclear or the devs are stumped on a particular faith's choice.
1.2 Adultery - Same as above, simply converged into one category instead of two. Most Male-centric/dominated Faiths will place Female adultery one degree harsher of judgement on the scale, same for hypothetical Female-dominated ones;
1.3 Kinslaying - no changes
1.4 Witchcraft - these changes are more thematic than mechanical. Witchcraft needs localization changes for faiths where Witchcraft is at least Shunned up to Virtuous to not invoke the [Evil God] in their rituals, because that doesn't make sense, they are supposedly communing (or believing to commune) with benevolent entities. Also, Slavic faith should not have Witchcraft as Criminal, they have an entire pagan god Veles/Volos, who is part of cosmic balance with the "good guy" Sky God Perun, that is god of Magic.
2. Clerical Doctrines:
2.1 Clerical Gender - familiar to the changes above, Clerical Gender to now have Preferences. These work exactly how Rulership preferences of State do - namely, they go from scale of [Gender Only] to [Gender-Preferred] to [Equal] to [Other Gender Preferred] to [Other Gender Only]. As a good chunk of Faiths' clergy make these appointments outside of player input, any deviations from particular Preference of the faith in their Realm Priest/Chaplain/etc Generation will simply be a percentage chance. I.E A faith may have Male Preferred as Clerical Gender doctrine, but as long as it is not Male Only, every once in a while a Female realm priest may get generated.
2.2 Head of Faith Gender - this is a new, off-branch doctrine from the one above, available only to faiths who do have HoF. It functions the same as Clerical Gender, but regulates only the HoF's Gender (and/or the highest institutional echelon of the Faith).
3. Views of (Ruling) Gender - the main doctrine. Whenever a State converts to a new faith it should now automatically apply the relevant Gender Law into place. Also, unless such an AI weighting already exists, AI men or women should consider their own gender in their decision-making so that they do not convert into a faith that strips power away from them.
Here are some examples (using some info off the wiki for cross-reference) with the above changes:
