I have been experiencing frequent frame drops (120 down to 50) every 5-10 seconds. I have recently changed my graphics card from an RTX 2080TI (which I had no problems with, to an RX 6900, which is when I started observing these drops. I have followed the steps in the Master List to no avail, and I have made sure that my old drivers were removed. I also tried running the game in administrator mode but the game would not start through the launcher.

Naively I guess if the game ran fine on one video card but not another, it's not going to be the game at fault ... have you deleted the Documents folder for CK3 so the new system writes a new one?

Aso if you are running Catalyst it may be trying to 'optimise' for the game, if so unload that app and see if that changes anything.

I have deleted the CK3 Documents folder and have disabled the AMD optimizations but it does not appear to have changed anything.

Edit: Actually, it appears to have helped a bit. Some frame drops are still occurring but they are further apart than they used to be.

Interesting. Do you know which of those two steps appeared to help? Or they both did a bit perhaps?

And does this only happen at the fastest game speed perhaps? Or at any speed?

All I can imagine then is that AMD have not yet optimised that new card's driver and settings in Catalyst. Certainly keep the driver and other AMD software up to date!
