Eu4 not responding

Game runs slow and stutters, then stops responding within a month. Tried with and without mods enabled, windows 8 compatibility mode on/off, latest graphics drivers.

Random new world is enabled

Any help or advice would be appreciated

This is just this one saved game, is that right? Or this happens in other campaigns too, or even new ones?

This saved game, and any auto-generated backup clones of it. I haven’t tried any other save files or a new game.

If this game has had mods in it then I'm afraid we can't help with it here - disabling mods does not remove effects they have already had on the save game file.

But if you get any such issue in a save that's never had any mods used in it, do let us know!
