In Civilization IV there is an event in which the nation proves that the earth is spherical gains a speed bonus. It would be interesting to see something of the kind in Stellaris, an empire reaches something and is recognized by all other nations, and can receive some reward. For example:

- Universal Declaration of the Rights of all Sapient: It provides a bonus in happiness and in diplomaticy. Reached by the first empire that has a number of unique species living with full citizens rights.

- National Declaration of Racial Superiority: Bonus of happiness and speed of purges. Given the first empire to purge (kill) a number of aliens.

- Great Space Warriors: Attack Bonus. Given the first empire to win a defensive war against a stronger empire.

Etc....

The idea is for these events to be registered and recognized by other empires, so as to affect diplomatic relations and interactions. Especially when the UGN (United Galactic Nations) is introduced.

What do you think? More ideas of great achievements?
