Short summary of your issue 1.02.38741 Patch broke discrete graphics performance on Macbook Pro

Game Version
1.02.38741

What platform are you using?
Steam

What OS are you playing on?
Mac

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
Yes

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
Previous versions ran fine, around average 40fps. With the latest path, 1.02.38741 however I get 7fps and it acts like the game is no longer using the discrete GPU.
In a nutshell this last patch has made the game unplayable.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue

How much "pain" is this causing you?
10

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

Digging into this more, I think the statement "not using discrete graphics card" is misleading. According to Activity Monitor it is using it. So I can't explain why I went from 40-50fps previous version to 5-7fps this version.

Further testing yesterday showed this to be almost entirely a fill rate issue I think. Changing the resolution to a much lower resolution has a huge impact on FPS whereas all the other graphic options have little to no effect.

Again the main source of my confusion here is why did it run so well on the 1.01 patch (40-50fps) and now with 1.02 plummet to 5-7fps with the exact same settings?

@agathorn There defintely weren't any changes that went into that patch that would have affected framerate - there were only a few specific fixes, and they were all localized to gameplay code.

Have you confirmed that your settings in the Graphics Settings menu are still the same as before? Does this problem persist after a reboot?

You're correct. It must have been something with my system. I just started the game up a few minutes ago and it is working as expected. Not sure what happened but it clearly wasn't the patch as I thought.

My apologies.
