Since it appears this game is no longer being supported on any level based on the complete lack of.....anything, happening with it should we be expecting a refund for the second DLC if we ordered the expansion pack??? I am reading some other people complaining about the lack of info, but i this point i think those of us who purchased the DLC 2 should have some sort of info on it.

We got ghosted. Even Romero Games site refers to you to the forums here for help where there is…crickets. Don’t know what the issue is but the lack of info seems to indicate they took our money and ghosted. Romero Games location in tort friendly Ireland is also probably strategic but that’s me speculating upset.

Same on twitter where they were extremely active for a time. Starting to wonder if there is a bigger issue - possibly regarding the future of Romero Games itself.

It is very outside of their nature to be this quiet - usually we at least some fun social posts.

I'm not sure how they got this information, or wether or not it's true. But here is a little bit of hope for those of you who like this game.

Interesting, and hopefully true. I guess I will have to hold off on my OVERLY NEGATIVE comments about Paradox until we see if they at least attempt to satisfy their commitments. thanks for the update.

As I go through a new campaign again, I would also like to get news for the second DLC.
From what I see on my Steam, the DLC #2 was added on June 2021...already a year ago
I do hope the date on the news for the Nintendo Switch release will be a happy christmas for all the people waiting for it.

Don't get your hopes up. If it's been that long, this game was unplugged from life support months ago, if not longer. I started playing City of Gangsters, much more enjoyable IMHO. If combat is important to you, you probably won't like it though.

In my opinion, it is time to report DLC 2 as fraud. If you go to the Steam page for the DLC (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1303314/Empire_of_Sin__Expansion_2/) there is a flag in the lower right. We all need to click on it and use the "report fraud" option. It's unlikely to go anywhere, but it's a start.

We also need to be making noise across all of Romero Games and Paradox's online and social media channels (such as the Romero Games and Paradox Discord channels. twitter, etc.). At the very least, it may make others pause before preordering any future titles from Romero Games.

I remember when (redacted - not sure I can mention it) got cancelled and there was an almighty storm on these forums about it and Paradox was forced to respond. Nobody had even spent any money it was simply disappointment that the game got shelved.
The problem here is hardly anyone is complaining. So why do they need to bother responding? There’s a post every week or so about it but that isn’t enough for Paradox to give a response. We can’t afford an actual legal challenge where as they can afford to defend one. I’ve just written it off. It’s like £11 for the missing DLC. I can spend more than that in the pub in less than an hour.

I have reported it though. Because it shouldn’t be on sale if it isn’t happening.

I was just checking out the games at bcgame casino when I stumbled upon this post after closing the site. Anyway, I understand how disheartening it is when you invest your time, money, and anticipation into something only to be left hanging without any updates or communication. I myself was truly disappointed as well. As passionate gamers, we invest not just our money but also our emotions and time into these experiences.
