Mod is created in a way that it should be compatible with any other mods and game versions.
Now it is even enjoyable to play Congress Poland!
The idea is to introduce a Real Union subject type.
Historically Real Union is a more strict form of a Personal Union with more institutions shared between two countries.
Vanilla Personal Union does not provide any income from the subject.
Real Union subject:
- transfers 15% of income
- can not easily have more than 3 laws different from the overlord with an exception of police laws
- has -50% influence
- has overlord culture as a second primary culture
- can be annexed through the play (a country with very little political independence, can lose the last of it at any moment)
Compatible with Victoria 1.3.6
Mod almost does not change vanilla files, so all vanilla content is generally untouched.
Future plans
As far as I understand Real Union is not so much about commerce and exploitation of a subject but more about bringing him politically and institutionally in line with a major partner.
Probably i will add some events to this mod that will synchronize subject laws to those of the major partner. For example, an event is fired that asks to do a reform if not comply then relations will be damaged and there could be a risk of annexing subject war or independence war.
This book is pretty decent. Can advise you as to Victoria 3 fan. It also includes parts for Livland, Estland, and Kurland. Will look into it. May adjust these regions too.

- Added level 1 construction site to Warsaw. Entire Poland had 0
- Added a few more radicals to the Polish population
- Adjusted Russian attitude towards Poland so it is a little more inclined to annex it

- Now, almost no royalists among Polish party leaders. And a tiny bit more republicans and liberals. This is done to simulate the independence movement

- Poland Strong Independence Movement modifier improved. Now significantly few Polish political leaders would support the monarchy
- Around 15k Polish culture pops changed to Russian culture aristocrats and bureaucrats. (10% of lands in Congress Poland belonged to Russian landowners after 1830-1831 uprising)
- Poland has appointed bureaucrats now
- Polish AI improved

- added the Independence Movement modifier to Poland that reduces government legitimacy and authority (gets removed if Poland gets Independence)
- added Real Union modifier to Poland that reduces the influence (gets removed if Poland gets Independence)
- Real Union now adds major partner culture as a second primary culture
- added some radical pops to Poland (not too many)
- Polish Land Owners and Clelergy have less support for the Monarchy government type now (Strongly Approve -> Approve vs default vanilla landowners). It does not have a significant effect.
