Hello to everyone! :)
Darkest Hour cover a historical period that start in 1914, or 1933, and finish in 1963. Part of the Cold War is included in the timeline of the game and could be interesting if there are a new scenario and events regarding that period.

The new scenario will start on 1st January 1946, with new factions (NATO, Warsaw Pact and maybe Arab League or Non-aligned). All nation will have few industries, manpower, money and resources, but with the Marshall Plan or similar events, could happen an economic boom in '50s.

There should be historical events about:
- Italian Referendum: Monarchy or Republic? (2nd June 1946)
- Chinese Civil War (1946)
- Marshall Plan (1947)
- Arab-Israeli War (1948)
- Berlin Airlift (1948)
- War of Korea (1950-1953)
- Death of Stalin and Succession (1953)
- War of Suez (1956)
- Cuban Revolution (1959)
- Wall of Berlin (1961)
- Cuba Missiles Crisis (1962)
- The beginning of Vietnam War ('60s)
- Assassination of John F. Kennedy (1963)
- Elections in USA, UK and other nations
- Decolonization
- Discovery of new resources (for example: oil in Libya)
- Space Race, with the final achievment of Landing to Moon
- New modes, such as Rock and Roll, Greasers, Pop Art, consumer electronics (TV, radio, home appliances)
- McCarthysm and Red Scare

And alternative events about:
- Death of Mussolini and succession (in the '60s?) or return to democracy
- Death of Hitler and succession (in the '50s) or return to democracy
- Axis Cold War and Spheres of Influence
- Decline or transformation of Fascism (social, cultural and ideological changes)

Thanks for the attention! :)

Considering that no scenario can even approach the historical war conclusion due too poor invasions and balance of the East Front war a Doomsday WW3 like scenario would be really cool. Although a lenghty historically flavored event tree that Gios describes would be neat. I think a simple Comintern vs. Allies operation Unthinkable scenario would be more simplistic and wargame oriented.

My idea is about a scenario where the player must be always tense, because the WW3 could burst anytime, for wathever reason (at is was historically). Every important event of that paeriod (Berlin Airlift, Suez Crisis, Cuba Missiles Crisis, etc.) coul lead to outbreak of a war between Western and Eastern Blocks.

The Cold War tecnhologies, such as Atomic Bomb, Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM), Jet Fighter, Helicopters, are already in the game; it would be enough to add a new "Space" cathgory, maybe in the "Secret Weapons" section. To start the space race, you will need to know at least ICBM and modern computers technologies.
It might a good idea to add a tech team specialized in "Nuclear Physics", "Nuclear Engineering" and "Rocketry" for every nation in the game, to enable everyone to develop their nuclear arsenal.
