Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
I was a vassal of Abbasid and holder of Jerusalem. The Pope declared a crusade for Jerusalem. I sent my troops to Rome and captured the Pope. This had no impact on the war score, and I found no mechanism to transfer the Pope to my liege's custody.
Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Play as a vassal where your liege is at war, capture the enemy ruler.
Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
The Pope probably shouldn't be this easy to capture during Crusades.
