Mac

What platform are you using?
Steam

Do you have mods enabled? No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
Yes

How much "pain" is this causing you?
9

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
So my character just "Died under mysterious circumstances." I would think that this was a plot (though there are no active plots that I can find), but shouldn't death by plot at least give you some kind of event so you know it? "Someone snuck into my room and nailed my head to the mattress". Otherwise I'm left wondering if this is some kind of bug where a character just dies at random.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Not sure.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

This sounds like a murder scheme was successful against you. It's probably possible to uncover the secret about it on your next character.
That's what I figured, but then why no "Someone came for you in the night" event, like CK2? It makes a lot more sense and makes that far more clear. Just a "You died under mysterious circumstances" message doesn't give you much information at all. You're dead out of nowhere.
